Volunteer Spotlight
Meet Bob Eager. Robert Clyde Eager, 9th generation line of Ann Bull descendant, is a retired educator and lives in Sandusky, Michigan with his wife, Kathleen. He has been a long time history and family researcher specializing in the Eager family homestead farm in Howell, Michigan, where he was raised. His 3rd great-grandfather, William Blake Eager, originally from Orange County, NY, purchased the land in Michigan from the U.S. Government in 1836.
Bob has been an asset to our Bull family by assisting with the line of Ann Bull research, both at the picnics and from his home. He has pored over documents, contacted many cousins by mail, email and phone, and added numerous photos and documents to the Bull Genealogy database.
Bob said, "Growing up on a centennial farm, I learned to love family history, but my parents and grandparents knew almost nothing about our family beginnings in Orange County, NY. Later in life, I discovered that generations of dedicated volunteers, working with the Bull family, had been recording all of our family history so it would be available when I was ready to discover it. That is what inspired me to ask Judy Wood if there was anything I could do to help".
